pneedle original art are paintings, drawings and photography that sprang from my appreciation of the many incredible views in New York City. I had been a resident there for over 35 years and have created numerous original pieces of art during that time. My style of drawing and painting has followed two distinct paths. The first style is drawing with detail. I’ve used lead pencil or pen and paper. For me this method is well suited for creating art in NYC. It’s much easier to carry pencil and paper. Much less obtrusive than schlepping around an easel and paints. Nevertheless, watercolors and oil paints are my other style. The detail of the trees give way to the overall view of the forrest. A common element with my work is the preference, when possible, for creating en plein air – outdoors in nature. Admittedly, on occasion I used my iPhone to capture an image for later reference.
Aside from the enjoyment I experience creating some beautiful images (IMHO), I also had fun creating this “pneedle original art” web site. For those interested, it is a WordPress site with e-commerce capability integrated with a print-on-demand third party.
